I am a fresh out of college business owner. However, running an actual business, with employees, bills and checks is something else. I am from a film background. I do not have a lot of business experience. And for my company as a start up just didn't have the money to hire business attorneys, investment consultants, full time accountants etc. I had to deal with all of the above on my own. So, I had to build support mechanisms for me acquire practical knowledge to help me run my business in the best shape possible.
One of these supportive agents is listening to podcasts. While I'm driving to work or to night school, or while I'm at the gym. These are the times when I can have my ears open to new content, and times that would go to waste otherwise.
I do have a dozen podcasts I follow but these 3 are especially MUST LISTEN TOs for small business owners and young entrepreneurs.
NPR's Planet Money Podcast- This is a great economy podcast. It's fun and humorous, discusses international money matters and studies all of the crazy complicated economy jargon in simplified terms, tangible examples and analogies.
Wall Street Journal on Small Business- This podcast consists of very tiny 5-10 minute-long talks, quick tips and tricks about running a small business, interviews with small business owners, novelties and current trend.
Technology Podcast- Regardless of your being a geek or not, or the type of business you run, being aware of where the world is going. This podcast is full of potential inspiration to develop a new business model or a change to discover a new gadget that might become the key opportunity to take your business one step ahead.
Fake Crow is a young company. We know what it means to be competing in an economy that is being redefined as we live in it. We have to be on top of our game to provide the top scale service to our clients. The first step is to smoothly run the internal affairs of our business and invest in growth. There are hundreds of great resources and tools for a company like ours. But I find podcasts to be the most convenient. When I'm driving to work or while I am at the gym, I can easily have my ears open to new content. I am absolutely addicted to them. There are a dozen that I follow but these 3 are especially MUST LISTEN TOs for small business owners and entrepreneurs.
